Surf Lesson or Surf Guide
Have you always wanted to learn to surf but didn’t
know where to start? You have come to the best place:
beautiful scenery, friendly people, and warm tropical
waters. Learn this healthy and natural sport with true
professional surf instructors, offering group or private
lessons for all levels. Surf board rentals and surf tours
are also available.

Montezuma Waterfall

Canopy Tour
Sun Trails Adventures is the company that runs the
Montezuma waterfall canopy tour. This canopy consist
of 9 cables (longest cable has 300 mts.), 11 platforms
and 1200mts over the forest and next to the
Montezuma river waterfalls were a stop is made for you
to swim. You will also get very nice ocean views of the
Nicoya Peninsula. Tour leaves at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m.
or 3:00 p.m.
*a trial to walk to the waterfalls is also available in
case you decide not to do the canopy.

Mal País Canopy Tour
The Canopy Tour takes place on a 26-hectare farm
covered in rich tropical forest and diverse wildlife at the
entrance of the Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Reserve.
Come and journey through the treetops with the Pacific
Ocean lying below you. The exciting canopy ride is
nearly a kilometer long and has 8 platforms set high in
the gigantic trees. Steel cables connect the platforms,
which are between 5 and 25 meters in height. You will
not forget the experience of flying along a 300-meter
long shot over a canyon between the second and the
third platform. Professional nature guides will
accompany you on the unforgettable journey exploring
the biodiversity. Tour leaves at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m.

Isla Tortuga Tour
Cruise along the coast for a breathtaking 50-minute
boat ride to the famous Tortuga Island. Upon arriving to
this tropical paradise, the boat will anchor within view
of the white sand beach for a snorkeling session. The
crystal waters at Tortuga are surrounded by volcanic
rock reef, home to the best snorkeling on Costa Rica's
Central Pacific coast. After your incredible snorkeling
adventure you can relax on Tortuga Island’s picturesque
beach. While lunch is being prepared grab a cold
drink, take a stroll along the beach or swim in the calm
crystal waters. The rest of the afternoon is yours to
enjoy. Tour includes drinks, beers, fresh tropical fruits,

Sport Fishing
With the Pacific Ocean, abundant marine life, and lush
tropical ambience, it’s no surprise Costa Rica is one of
the world’s premiere fishing destinations. The captains,
who have been fishing the waters of Montezuma since
childhood, will show you all the best spots and local
secrets. Along with an English-speaking guide, your
captain will take you on a fishing experience you will
never forget. A common day of fishing may include, but
is not limited to, Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Dorado
and Roosterfish. As you move out into the deep-sea
waters you are likely to find Sailfish, large Wahoo,
Mahi Mahi and, possibly, Marlin.

Fishing Tour
The coastal waters are home to many Yellow fin-tuna,
Mackerel, Jack and Mahi Mahi. We recommend
leaving at 7:00 a.m. to get the best of it. This tour is in
a typical Costa Rica panga boat and includes drinks.

Cabo Blanco Hike
Once that you get in to the reserve you can choose to
do the two hours hike by the reserve were you can see
some birds, monkeys and different kind of threes or the
four hours hike round trip to get to the beach at Cabo
Blanco Reserve and did some snorkeling there. After the
two ours hike if you feel that didn’t see enough animals
so we can go to the Rainsong Wildlife Sanctuary a
rescue center that rescue and release native animals
from this area. Here you also can pet and get pictures
with some of this animals that for some reason couldn’t
been released.

Montezuma ATV
Waterfalls
Leaving from the resort the first thing that you will visit is
the Suecos beach, located next to the Cabo Blanco
reserve, nice spot for some pictures and later for you to
visit by yourselves to do some snorkeling. Continue by
the back road to Cabuya where you can see the
cementery island from the hills and the big vine tree in
the way to Montezuma, before you arrive in to the
Montezuma town there will be the entrance at the left to
do the hike to the first waterfall after this we stop at
Montezuma for lunch and finally the return to the hotel
by the Dog House way.

Horseback Riding
A horseback ride is a great way to explore nature and
become acquainted with Santa Teresa’s local beauty.
An experienced nature guide will interpret the area’s
culture, flora and fauna. Choose between a morning or

hills and then finish with an exhilarating gallop on the
beach. Or slowly trot along, taking in the views.
